It’s Friday and we (Jeanna and Leah) are so excited to have our dear Friend Ali guest posting on today’s blog. We have been collaborating with Ail on a new printable set for the Faith Heirlooms Shop and it is releasing on 11/4/19. Mark your calendars for this “Out of Abundance” Printable set and head to the shop to get your own set. Then, keep reading so see all of Ail’s heart behind what we created!
Hey sweet friends!
It’s Ali from @alicatcreates here. When the Faith Heirlooms ladies asked if I was interested in designing the artwork for the “Out of Abundance” printable devo I was thrilled! I love investing in printables that I can use several different ways. So, that was my goal in creating the printables that accompany “Out of Abundance.” I’ve used it several times already, and I’m sure I’m not done! I wanted to share with you some of the ways I’ve created with it so far.
1. In my Bible
The first way I used the printable was in my journaling bible. I recently bought a new journaling bible and I was thrilled with all the space I had in it for ALL. THE. GOODIES.
I’m a big fans of layers and clusters so I used a brown paper bag for my bottom layer. Then I stuck it to the page with foam dots so it would stick up a bit. Beyond that, I don’t really have a strategy. I just keep clustering until it looks done to me. Ha! My go-to items are alphas, washi, and diecuts. I couldn’t find alphas that looked the way I wanted, so I just cute my own out of scrapbook paper for the “above.”
2. In my Binder
I won’t spoil any of the devo, but there is a calling to count our blessings. So I did this on the notes pages that are included with the devo. I wanted something a little extra added to it, so I threw some alphas, Washi, and an extra printable on the page and it was ready to go. I punched holes in all this and put it in my mini binder from Walmart, along with my printout of the devo.
3. In my Flipbook
The last way I used this set was by making a flip book out of the Out of Abundance Journal cards. Flipbooks are one of my favorite ways to create. It is quick and easy to make. Plus, I can throw it in my bag and pull it out when I want to study/memorize scripture. Once again, I used the printable, washi, and some alphas, plus a few stamps. Add some scripture, pop the cards on a ring, and you’re ready to go!
I hope you enjoy working through “Out of Abundance” as much as I have. I can’t wait to see what you create!
