Happy Friday Friends! I hope you have all had a blessed week. We’ve finally been getting some snow here in Boise, but I think I’m ready for spring. This week we have another Bible Flip-through and some reflections for you. Both Jeanna and I (Leah) got our new Bible’s around the same time so we both have flip-throughs we needed to share. I mean who doesn’t love to watch a flip-through, so we’re just hitting you with two in a row on the blog.
Reflections
This was my 3rd Bible and I was very particular in choosing this one. My first bible was an NIV Note-Takers Bible. I loved the white pages in that Bible, but the margins we’re a little odd. There was one inch on the side and one inch on the bottom. So when I went for my next bible, I got the classic, ESV Single Column Journaling Bible. I loved the margins on this one, but the cream pages were not my favorite, so with my third Bible, I was determined to find the best of both worlds. And I did!
I chose the NLT Reflections Bible with the black cover and painted it myself. This Bible had the white pages and over 2 inch margins. I love this one. It was definitely my favorite of all three I’ve had. I had this Bible for almost a year and let me tell you, I probably should have gotten a new one after 6 months. It was very very full by the end. However, I love the story this Bible tells of my year and I love that there are clear themes that I was working on through that year. There were running themes of Grace, God’s faithfulness and transformation was a huge one.
I also saw many artistic themes carried across. I began to love the mosaic pages with acrylic paint, and I also was loving the simple watercolors with foliage. Obviously, most pages incorporated our Faith Heirlooms printables so it was fun seeing how I was able to use them in such a variety of ways.
I love the story this Bible tells of my faith journey over the last year. It’s such a blessing to have this to look back on. If you’re a Bible journaler, I would encourage you to take time to look back at your Bible Journaling journey and reflect on how you’ve grown through it. Whether you’re 5 pages in or you’re on your 5th Bible. Take time to reflect on how you’ve grown.
#fh_transformationtuesday
We actually started to do a weekly giveaway to encourage this kind of reflection. Every Tuesday, on Instagram, we give away an exclusive printable to one person who has shared a photo of their Bible journaling transformation using the hashtag #fh_transformationtuesday and tagging us @faithheirlooms.
The idea is that you would take pictures of pages done in multiple Bibles on the same passage and tell us about the transformation you’ve experience in between doing them. If you don’t have multiple Bible’s don’t worry! Do something that works for you. Maybe you could share your first page and your most recent page or perhaps two pages that are on the same theme and share about the transformation there. We just want to see you taking time to reflect and share with our community the transformation you have experienced. If you’re interested in winning the giveaway be sure you share yours. We choose a new winner every week so the more you share the more chance you have of winning. For more on how this idea got started check out this blog from when we first started sharing our own transformation stories.
While I’m sharing about giveaways…. We also do a weekly giveaway on our Facebook Group: Faith Heirlooms – Bible Journaling Community . You can win a different printable by participating in the weekly challenge. So be sure to join our group and complete the weekly challenges to be entered to win that.
Without further ado…
Well, I think I’ve covered it all here. I’m sure you’re ready to finally see the flip-through. So without further ado, here is the flip through of my journaling Bible from 2018.
