We don’t always have a lot of time to spend bible journaling. We have busy schedules just like you do! And if you’re like me, you have a little one who likes to be involved, which can make it hard to finish a page in one sitting. That’s where knowing how to do a quick page can come in handy. You can use the time you do have to read your devotions, then get to bible journaling in minutes!
Using only a few products can help you quickly get a page done. For this page I used just 3 products! Paint, alpha stickers and a pen are all I used to make this page!
I started with the paint. Just add a couple swipes of paint for the base layer, zap it with a hair dryer if you need to, to make sure it’s dry. I use the cardboard backing from a pack of stickers under the page I’m working on to give it more stability and to make sure the paint doesn’t go through to other pages.
Once the paint is dry, it’s time to write out my phrase in alpha stickers. I chose to use a couple different fonts to make it more exciting. When I put my letters on, at first I don’t press them down. I wait until I have a good idea of how spaced out I want the letters and how many words I can fit across the page. Once I get a spacing I like, I press them down.
I always do a little prayer or small paragraph about my reading on my page. I do this last with the space I have left over after adding stickers and other embelishments. For this I normally use a micron pen. Adding the date at the bottom of the page is my final step.
It doesn’t have to take a ton of time to put art in your bible. Bible journaling in minutes is possible when you use choose just a few decorating items and get to it! Skip the paint on this page and you will be done even quicker if you’re that pressed for time!
